LuisterenListening
Druk op de ronde afspeelknop om de radio te starten of te pauzeren. Met de schuif ernaast regel je het volume.
Sommige browsers starten geluid pas na een klik of tik. Zie je "Klik hier om te luisteren", tik dan één keer ergens op de pagina.
Valt de verbinding even weg (wifi, tunnel, trein), dan verbindt de webplayer vanzelf opnieuw. Je hoeft niets te doen.
Press the round play button to start or pause the radio. Use the slider next to it for the volume.
Some browsers only start sound after a click or tap. If you see "Click here to listen", tap once anywhere on the page.
If the connection drops for a moment (Wi-Fi, tunnel, train), the web player reconnects by itself. You do not need to do anything.
Welk nummer speelt er?What is playing?
Onder NOW PLAYING zie je de titel, de artiest en de hoes van het nummer dat nu speelt. In de lijst Recent afgespeeld staan de nummers van daarvoor, met het tijdstip.
Staat er VERZOEKJE boven de titel, dan is dit nummer aangevraagd door een luisteraar.
Under NOW PLAYING you see the title, artist and cover of the current song. The Recently played list shows the songs before it, with the time.
If you see REQUEST above the title, the song was requested by a listener.
Sfeerstand (hoes groot in beeld)Ambient mode (big cover)
Klik op de hoes (of op het knopje op de hoes) en de hoes komt groot in beeld, met titel, artiest, programma en klok. Ideaal als schermvulling op je computer, tablet of tv.
- Sluiten: Esc, het kruisje of een klik op de achtergrond.
- Spatiebalk: pauzeren/afspelen. F: volledig scherm aan/uit.
- Na een paar seconden verdwijnen de knoppen en de muiswijzer vanzelf; beweeg de muis om ze terug te krijgen.
Af en toe verschijnt een QR-code: scan die met je telefoon om de gratis NixxFM-app te downloaden.
Click the cover (or the small button on it) to show it full screen, with title, artist, programme and clock. Great as a screen filler on your computer, tablet or TV.
- Close: Esc, the cross or a click on the background.

Vind je het nummer goed? Tik op het hartje onder de titel. Je hartje telt mee voor de lijst "Meest geliket" in de Top 10. Per nummer kun je één hartje geven.
Like the song? Tap the heart below the title. Your like counts towards the "Most liked" list in the Top 10. One like per song.

Met Delen stuur je het nummer dat nu speelt naar vrienden: via WhatsApp, Facebook, X, Telegram, e-mail, of kopieer de link en plak hem waar je wilt.

Nummer opzoekenLook up a song
De kleine knopjes naast Delen (Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Deezer) zoeken het nummer dat nu speelt meteen voor je op bij die dienst. Handig om het later terug te luisteren of in je eigen afspeellijst te zetten.
The small buttons next to Share (Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Deezer) look up the current song on that service. Handy to listen again later or add it to your own playlist.
SlaaptimerSleep timer
Tik op het klokje bij de speler en kies na hoeveel minuten de radio moet stoppen. Vlak voor het einde wordt het geluid langzaam zachter. Annuleren kan met Uit.
Tap the clock near the player and choose after how many minutes the radio should stop. The sound fades out gently just before the end. Cancel with Off.
WekkerAlarm
Tik op het klokje, vul bij Wekker een tijd in (bijvoorbeeld 07:30) en kies Zet wekker. Op die tijd start NixxFM vanzelf.
Let op: laat dit tabblad open en zet je apparaat niet in slaapstand. Zet het volume alvast goed. Op een telefoon werkt de wekker in de NixxFM-app betrouwbaarder.
Tap the clock, enter a time under Alarm (for example 07:30) and choose Set alarm. NixxFM starts by itself at that time.
Note: keep this tab open and do not let your device go to sleep. Set the volume beforehand. On a phone the alarm in the NixxFM app is more reliable.
Audiobalken instellenAudio bars settings
De bewegende balkjes onder de titel kun je zelf aanpassen met het schuifjes-knopje bij de speler: aan of uit, het aantal balken, de snelheid en de kleur. Je keuze wordt in deze browser onthouden. Met Standaard zet je alles terug.
You can adjust the moving bars below the title with the sliders button near the player: on or off, number of bars, speed and colour. Your choice is remembered in this browser. Default resets everything.
Op tv of speaker (Chromecast) en in een andere spelerOn TV or speaker (Chromecast) and in another player
Met het cast-knopje stuur je NixxFM naar een Chromecast, Google-speaker of smart-tv in hetzelfde wifi-netwerk (werkt in Chrome en Edge).
Het knopje met het pijltje opent de stream in een andere speler op je apparaat, zoals VLC of Windows Media Player.
Use the cast button to send NixxFM to a Chromecast, Google speaker or smart TV on the same Wi-Fi network (works in Chrome and Edge).
The button with the arrow opens the stream in another player on your device, such as VLC or Windows Media Player.
Verzoekje aanvragenRequest a song
Tik op VERZOEKJE, zoek je nummer op artiest of titel en volg de stappen in het venster om het aan te vragen. Het nummer komt in de wachtrij; hoe snel het wordt gedraaid hangt af van de drukte en het programma.
Tap REQUEST, search for your song by artist or title and follow the steps in the window to request it. The song is queued; how soon it plays depends on how busy it is and on the programme.

Met NL / EN bovenin wissel je de taal van de hele webplayer. Songtitels en programmanamen blijven zoals ze zijn.
Use NL / EN at the top to switch the language of the whole web player. Song titles and programme names stay as they are.
De NixxFM-appThe NixxFM app
Met de gratis NixxFM-app (Android, Google Play) luister je ook met het scherm uit of terwijl je iets anders doet, met bediening op je vergrendelscherm en in de auto. De link staat onderaan de pagina.
Geen Android? Zet de webplayer op je beginscherm: open het menu van je browser en kies Toevoegen aan beginscherm.
With the free NixxFM app (Android, Google Play) you can keep listening with the screen off or while doing something else, with controls on your lock screen and in the car. The link is at the bottom of the page.
No Android? Add the web player to your home screen: open your browser menu and choose Add to Home screen.
Het werkt niet: wat nu?It does not work: what now?
- Geen geluid: kijk of het volume in de webplayer én op je apparaat open staat, en of het tabblad niet gedempt is (rechtermuisknop op het tabblad).
- De radio start niet: tik één keer op de afspeelknop; browsers blokkeren automatisch geluid soms.
- Melding "beperkt netwerk": je zit op een netwerk (bijv. op het werk) dat de streampoort blokkeert. De webplayer schakelt dan vanzelf over op een noodverbinding en gaat terug zodra het kan.
- Hapert het geluid: je verbinding is traag of wisselt. De webplayer verbindt vanzelf opnieuw; wacht een paar seconden.
- Verkeerde of geen hoes: niet van elk nummer is een hoes te vinden; dan zie je het NixxFM-logo.
- Balk "Nieuwe versie beschikbaar": klik erop, dan laadt de nieuwste webplayer.
- Lukt het nog niet? Ververs de pagina (F5) of probeer een andere browser. Blijft het misgaan, meld het ons via Contact.
- No sound: check the volume in the web player and on your device, and that the tab is not muted (right-click the tab).
- The radio does not start: tap the play button once; browsers sometimes block automatic sound.
- "Restricted network" message: you are on a network (e.g. at work) that blocks the stream port. The web player switches to a backup connection by itself and returns when possible.
- Sound stutters: your connection is slow or unstable. The web player reconnects by itself; wait a few seconds.
- Wrong or no cover: a cover cannot be found for every song; you then see the NixxFM logo.
- "New version available" bar: click it to load the latest web player.
